The free space method is suitable for evaluating the frequency characteristics of various materials over a wide frequency range. Here, we evaluated plastics with various values from 60 to 330 GHz. The free space method is effective for evaluating materials with high loss and materials that are difficult to process into thin forms, although it is not suitable for precise loss evaluation of low-loss materials such as PTFE.
