Repeatability of measurements is extremely important in materials measurement. Repeatability of the measurement system allows R&D to identify more detailed differences in properties and provide feedback for the next prototype. In manufacturing, monitoring samples with good repeatability enables a higher level of quality control. Here we present the results of repeated measurements of a low-loss thin sheet material. Each time, the sample is moved in and out of the fixture and measured by multiple workers, so the results are close to the actual measurement conditions.
Fused silica, 173μm
Measure 10 times, removing the sample each time and turning it over.
